Data we collect

To open an account and complete a booking we collect:

Full name, email, phone number, gender, and the addresses you save. For a practitioner we also collect profession, practitioner type, certificates, insurance, a photo of an identity document, a selfie of you holding that document, and bank account details so payouts can be made.

We also keep booking details (service, time, place, price, and status), messages you send to support, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service, such as device and sign-in records.

If you tell us something about your health so a treatment can go ahead safely, we use that only for that booking. We do not run a separate health record.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, match clients with practitioners, complete bookings, take payment, pay practitioners, check identity and insurance, prevent fraud, and answer support requests. The lawful basis is the contract with you, and our legitimate interests in running a safe marketplace.

Marketing is separate. You do not have to agree to it for a booking to go ahead. If you opt in, you can withdraw at any time by emailing support@venusify.io.

Sharing

We share what a booking needs with the other party (the client or the practitioner). Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe’s use of data is described in their own privacy policy. We also use infrastructure providers who host the app.

We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep account and booking records while the account is active. Records we need for tax, insurance, and disputes are kept for 7 years after the treatment. If a treatment was booked for someone under 18, that period runs for 7 years after they turn 18.

When you ask us to delete an account, the profile is removed from the app. Our support team then deletes the profile, bookings, and the other information we hold for that account, except records we are required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data by emailing support@venusify.io. If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, write to us first. If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/concerns.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember session state. The website and web app do not use advertising cookies.
